Miracle Work Conference at Evanston Vineyard

What a blessed weekend!  I got to spend a portion of 3 days with my pastor, Jordan Seng, at Evanston Vineyard Christian Church.  Jordan taught around the content in his first book, Miracle Work (http://www.ivpress.com/cgi-ivpress/book.pl/code=3764).  I got to be part of the ministry team, which is always great fun! I haven't heard all the stories from the weekend yet, but I know that great things happened.  I got to be a part of a couple of cool healings (knees, feet, nerve endings, and shoulders) and saw a number of people set free from oppression.  I also got to speak blessing over a portion of the single Mom's in the congregation.

The conference also made me homesick.  There are things about the Bluewater Community that are harder to find in the larger American Christian World.  Not impossible, but harder.  My community supports me from afar and I am developing a support system here.  I don't yet have the words to describe exactly what I miss, but I do have some words for the result of missing it.  I have less "TRY".

"TRY" is the Bluewater Mission motto and is Jordan's definition of faith.  The more "TRY", the more stories.  Even stories of failure are stories, right! :-)  I have some good TRY stories from Kentucky but, honestly, most of them were in a 2-3 week period when I was being purposeful in such things.  It is so easy to get lulled into complacency!  Bills pile up, schedules fill up, etc.  It is time to get purposeful about Kingdom business again.  I will post my list of practical steps toward Purposeful Kingdom Living later today.

If you can manage to do so without outing or embarrassing anyone, I would love for you to share your TRY stories in the comments.  If you don't have a recent TRY story, join me in adding weight to that priority - I dare you!
